KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé supported Ndundulu business woman

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé supported Ndundulu Business Woman by buying from all of them after giving them some lecture on how to grow their business and advised them about the opportunities they can pursue locally, provincially, nationally and internationally.

Business women operating on the road between Showe and Melmoth, at Ndulndulu market, took a short break and listened to MEC Cronjé who advised them on issues of budgeting and managing their business as well as growing their small business.

MEC Cronjé is passionate about the small and upcoming business people in the province, which is why she always takes some time off whenever she sees or drive-pass small shops or mini-markets which are run by upcoming or small business. Not only to support them by buying what they are selling which she always does, but also to recommend and encourage them.

MEC Cronjé said that “this is exactly what we are encouraging people to do through our provincial SUKUMA SAKHE campaign. People are encouraged to stand up for themselves and build which is exactly what is happening here at Ndundulu. We also encourage our citizens to start pursuing initiatives that will make them employers rather than being employees like it is visible here” she said.

“I am also pleased to hear that some of you have their own gardens, some of the staff that you are selling here like fruits and vegetables are from your own gardens” said MEC Cronjé.

This was after one of the thrilled and overexcited vendor mentioned that they are working very closely with the Department of Agriculture which supply them with seeds and some farming aids, such that they now sometimes sell vegetables and fruits that they planted themselves.

MEC Cronjé encouraged them to look at growing their market by initiating relations with local schools that has National Feeding Scheme, also to look at supplying even local wholesalers and even look at supplying the international market since the international airport is closer to them now and it comes with a lot of trading opportunities.

People, who were passing by, were encouraged to support local business and initiatives like the one at Ndundulu.
