KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance Ms Ina Cronjé congratulated the deep rural Ingqayizivele Secondary School at Swayimane area under UMshwathi Municipality, for their outstanding results last year as they achieved 100% pass rate with most learners obtaining bachelors.
Cronjé visited three schools (Mjele High School, Ingqayisivele High School and Swayimane High School) at the deep rural uMshwathi Municipality to monitor the state of readiness on the first day of teaching and learning. Teaching and learning was evidence in all three schools that were visited. Learners have already received books and stationery.
Cronjé said “it is pleasing to see teaching and learning taking place from the start. Schools that we visited were fully functionally. I am a bit concerned about learner attendance as I noticed that teachers were all at school but some learners were not there and would like to encourage learners not to miss their first day of school because they will miss out” cautioned Cronjé.
