The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Senzo Mchunu, would like to express his happiness that the matter of Zonke Cele, Chief Education Specialist: Education Leadership Development and Management, who was brutally murdered in January 2010 has finally come to an end.
“We are happy that this matter has come to an end and that the perpetrators of this hideous crime were given life sentences.
Much as we know that the sentencing of the perpetrators is not going to bring back Zonke Cele, we believe that the family is going to find closure as a result of the court judgement. We want to thank the police and the court for their good work in dealing with this matter,” said MEC Mchunu.
