The Head of Department (HOD), Nkosinathi SP Sishi (PhD), would like to congratulate MEC Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni on her appointment as the MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal.
"This term starts at a very critical time where the department is required to report on its performance on the Millennium Development Goals, on its performance on Universal Primary Education and on eradication of illiteracy. Having worked with MEC Nkonyeni for the past Months, I have all the confidence in her and I know that she is equal to the task.
As a department we are ready to support and work with MEC Nkonyeni and as public servants we remain committed to adhere to Chapter 10 of the Public Service Act. We are going to continue to work hard to transform the schooling system in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal," said the HOD.
