The Head of Department for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Dr Nkosinathi Sishi, [PhD], sends his condolences to the family, fellow learners and educators of three learners and an educator who lost their lives in a tragic accident at Richards Bay on Sunday, 10 November 2013.
An Educator, Mr RP Peterson of Empangeni High School together with his entire family and three learners, Joshua Peterson (Grade 5), Simphiwe Ngubane (Grade 8) and Nolwandle Ngubane (Grade 2) were tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident on their way home from a church service in Richards Bay.
“As a department we are very saddened by this untimely death. It is very sad to lose an educator and such young people who had a bright future ahead of them. We offer our deepest condolences to their families and we pray that they find strength during this very difficult period,” said HOD, Dr Nkosinathi Sishi.
