This is to inform that services will be suspended at the Helen Joseph Hospital on Wednesday, 25 November 2015 to make way for scheduled installation of change over switch for all the hospital’s generators.
There will be power shut down in the following areas: Intensive Care Unit (ICU); Theatre; Renal Unit; X-Ray; Mortuary and all lifts – between 6h00 to 15h00. During this this time the hospital will not be admitting any patients.
Community members are therefore advised not to present or refer patients to the hospital. They should instead visit their local clinics or present at either Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital, Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital or Leratong Hospital. Prior arrangements have been made with those facilitates.
