Free State Health on dumped medication

Medication that was found dumped at the outskirts of Thabong Township at an illegal dumpsite

Yesterday 17 August 2015, Security Services of Lejweleputswa District Health Services received information from one of the community members about the medication that was dumped in the vicinity of Bophelong and Tshepong clinics.

The items were found to be state items. 36 bottles of ARV ATROISA (FDC) with the expiry date of 03/2017. The rand value is R113.00 per item, which gives the total of R4 068.00. This matter was reported to SAPS and a case was opened. The department encourage communities to report any suspicious activities in relation to state resources.
