From television show hosts to politicians, a number of famous faces will be running in this year’s Mandela Day Marathon.
The intriguing TV Personality, actress and fashionista, Minenhle Dlamini who co-hosted Mzansi Insider and is known for her roles in Mnet soapie, The Wild and Mzansi drama series Rockville will be joining thousands of runners participating in this this legacy event schedule to take place on the 31st August 2014.
Celebrity screen star Siyabonga Thwala, who has played a role in many Mzansi's soapies such as Generations, Isidingo, Scandal, Muvhango and currently posing as a high profile taxi boss in isiBaya along with Jessica Nkosi his co-actress that has won the hearts of many not by her charming looks but also her persona, will be joining Minenhle on the 4.6664 race.
The 4.6664 VIP race starts in Howick, at Midmar Dam and finishes at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site.
Athletes, social athletes and active members of South Africa who have not entered the Mandela Day Marathon, are urged to ‘live the legacy’ and experience the “triumph of the human spirit’ through a full marathon, half marathon or 10 km as entries now close on 11 August 2014.
The Marathon serves as a platform to honour the father of democratic South Africa and seeks to immortalise and pay respect to one of the greatest living icons to grace planet earth.
