Afcon is live on big screens

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation has organised three Public Viewing Areas (PVAs) in all districts of the province where football fans can follow the 2013 Orange Afcon.

The PVAs will be held as follows:

Public Viewing Area Number 1
Date: Sunday, February 3
Venue: Ga Morwe Stadium in Kameelriver
Match: Ivory Coast v Nigeria
Time: 17:00

Public Viewing Area Number 2
Date: Wednesday, February 6
Venue:  Mkhuhlu Stadium in Bushbuckridge
Matches: Both Semi-finals
Times: 17:00 and 20:30.

Public Viewing Area Number 3
Date: Sunday, February 10
Venue: Mpumalanga Stadium in Wesselton
Match: Final
Time: 20:30.

The PVAs will offer fans a chance to follow the Afcon in an electric atmosphere, which includes musical performances by top artists.

Culture, Sport and Recreation MEC, Ms Sibongile Manana urges the public to rally behind the tournament and the PVAs in large numbers.”We are calling all football supporters and ordinary people alike to show support for the games by buying tickets to follow the tournament live at the stadia. For those who cannot make it to the stadia, they can watch African football stars battling for supremacy at the PVAs,” says Manana.
