The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Education, Senzo Mchunu and the Head of Department, Dr Nkosinathi Sishi, are going to preside over a two day workshop to induct the Circuit Management and Circuit Managers (CESs) at Asherville Further Education and Training (FET) collage on 5 to 6 July 2012.
The main aim of this workshop is to provide the CESs with clear understanding of their new roles as per the new organisational structure and to help them identify their new roles and what is expected of them. According to the new organisational structure, the CESs: Circuit Management are what was referred to as Circuit Managers and what is now referred to as Circuit Managers are what was previously known as Ward Managers.
“As a Department of Education in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, we say a classroom is a centrepiece of all our activities and both the CESs Circuit Management and Circuit Managers are very close to the classroom, therefore if we are to achieve the level of excellence that we aim to achieve, we need to sharpen their understanding of the new organisational culture and re-orientate them accordingly,” said MEC Senzo Mchunu.
