Richards Bay Minerals' generous donation towards quality education

Tisand and Emkhayideni Technical High Schools will receive a much-needed boost; this after Richards Bay Minerals (RMB) donated R7,5 million towards the building of fully equipped workshops. An additional R5 million will also been set aside for the construction of specialised rooms which will include science laboratories and a library in four schools.

Richards Bay Minerals has over the years contributed immeasurably towards the improvement of quality education and heeded a call by the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Education Mr Senzo Mchunu for businesses to plough back to the community by getting involved in initiatives aimed at uplifting the quality of education in the province.

The handover event will be attended by the MEC for Education Mr Senzo Mchunu and RBM Managing Director, Dr Elaine Dorward-King, It will take place on Tuesday, 16 August 2011.
