Premier's Office to deliver Budget Policy Speech together with COGTA and the Finance Department
The Premier of the Province of KwaZulu-Natal, Mr Sihle Zikalala will on Thursday, 25 July, deliver the Budget Policy Speech for the Office of the Premier at the Provincial Legislature.
The Premier will outline the budget allocation of key priorities for his office among which is the support for the Zulu monarch King Zwelithini Goodwill kaBhekuzulu. The Premier’s Budget Speech will take place at 8:40 AM.
This will be followed by the Budget Policy Speech for the department of Cogta, which will be delivered by MEC Sipho Hlomuka, who will outline his department’s plan of action as it seeks to stabilize and re-engineer the sphere of local government to respond to the challenges of our communities.
The MEC will also touch on the department’s continued role of support for the institution of traditional leadership.
The budget speech will take place at 11h30
It will then be followed by the Budget Speech of the KZN Provincial Treasury under the leadership of MEC Ravi Pillay who will also outline his department’s programme for the year and how it plans to utilise monies allocated to it.
The Finance Budget Policy Speech will take place at 15h00
