The Premier Dr Zweli Mkhize, Deputy Minister of Health Dr Gwen Ramokgopa together with the MEC for Health in KwaZulu-Natal, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, will tomorrow (Friday, 10 June 2011) visit the Mkhize family to pay their last respects.
Journalists are invited to accompany the Premier, Deputy Minister and MEC at 12h15 to the family home at 2 Cuckoo Circle, Yellowwood Park; Durban, where they will also issue a statement on the tragic incident.
The late Dr Senzokuhle Mkhize (27) died after being stabbed in the chest by a 32 year-old patient at Middelburg Hospital, in Mpumalanga Province. Dr Mkhize served his internship at the Durban’s Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital and was at Middelburgh hospital for his community service which he started five months ago.
