National conference of State Legislatures of USA visists descends on KwaZulu-Natal Legislature

On 5 June, Tuesday, the National Conference of State Legislature (NCSL) of the United States of America represented by 5 delegates will visit the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature to share and provide capacity building workshop to members of the legislature in South Africa. South African Legislatures will send their representatives including their Speakers to attend this workshop.

"The National Conference of State Legislatures is a bipartisan organisation that serves the legislators and staffs of the nation's 50 states, its commonwealths and territories. NCSL provides opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas, so as to improve the quality and the effectiveness of legislatures" NCSL.

The longstanding relations that exist between KwaZulu-Natal Legislature and NCSL called for the legislature to be amongst the hosts of this important workshop in the history of the Legislatures in the country. The 4 day programme to be attended by at least 40 Members from across the country will titled, "transparency and oversight exchange" will focus mainly onenhancing personal action plansfor members in their overall work performance.
