KwaZulu-Natal Department of Arts and Culture will join the world in celebrating the International Museum Day on 18 May 2010. While the celebration will be held under the theme “Museums for social harmony”, the undercurrents of the theme will be carried in the programmes that the museum services will provide throughout the year that highlight co-existence, celebrating heritage and preserving cultural artefacts. The celebration will consist of exhibition by crafters from diverse backgrounds as well as the tour of the collection section.
KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation, Mrs Weziwe Thusi will give a keynote address.
