Minister Barbara Creecy to deliver keynote address at the 8th annual Green Youth Indaba in Durban
Minister of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment, Ms Barbara Creecy, will deliver the keynote address at the 8th Annual Green Youth Indaba in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, on 29 June 2023 at the Durban International Convention Centre.
The 8th Annual Green Youth Indaba will be held under the theme “Promoting Youth Participation and Sustainable Skills Development for a Just Transition”. The Indaba seeks to address youth unemployment, foster a spirit of entrepreneurship, and develop skills amongst the youth.
The Indaba is expected to bring together over 1000 young people, nominated by their universities, municipalities, and organisation, based on the initiative these young people are doing to better the environment. These youth and industry experts will discuss the most pressing environmental issues and the green opportunities for youth within both the public and private sectors.
