The Minister of Environmental Affairs, Mrs Edna Molewa and the National Air Quality Officer, Dr Thuli Mdluli, will on Tuesday, 24 February, jointly brief the media on Eskom's applications for postponement of compliance timeframes for the Minimum Emission Standards of National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act No. 39 of 2004, for its sixteen power stations. The briefing will include an update on other applications received from industry.
