KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Mr Sihle Zikalala and Chief Executive Office i Industrial Development Corporation, Mr Geoffrey Qhena are scheduled to make a major announcement concerning the operations of Glodina Black Label this week.
The giant textile manufacturer is based in Hammarsdale on the outer west of Durban and it provided employment to hundreds of people. However, over the past few months it has experienced financial difficulties that resulted in workers being retrenched.
This prompted Mr Zikalala to intervene with a view of coming up with a solution to save jobs.
