The incident which shook the local community and the whole of the KwaZulu-Natal province as well as the country took place at Richmond. The man was shot and wounded by the police when he ignored calls for him to stop. After being discharged from hospital he was immediately incarcerated. This will be his first court appearance.
MEC Mchunu will be at the court to show his full support of the child (who will not be there) and the family during this difficult time.
