KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation, Mrs Weziwe Thusi, will today handover a house to a pensioner that is living with a disability.
The pensioner’s house burnt down in 2002 and since then she had been staying in a shack. Through the efforts of a local councillor, the pensioner will now have a roof over her head. The four-roomed house was donated by a construction company, Stedone.
The handover forms part of the MEC’s programme of reaching out to help women during the Women’s Month.
