The time is once again upon us when members of the community have their say in awarding the men and women in blue who have gone beyond the call of duty to serve their communities, thus contributing in the vision of seeing the people of KwaZulu-Natal living in a safe and secure environment.
The third MEC’s Community Awards for Police Excellence will be hosted by MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Mr Willies Mchunu as follows:

The underlying purpose behind the awards is to publicly celebrate individual and collective achievements by members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the province while encouraging those who did not win to do more in the fight against crime.
Members of the media are invited to attend the awards ceremony. A media briefing will be held before the event commences.
