KZN MEC for Finance Ms Ina Cronje will on Wednesday, 15 July 2009, interact and listen to the views of the business people and the citizens of uGu Municipality in the Port Shepston area and on Friday, 17 July 2009 will be in Richards Bay and Esikhawini.
These visits form part of the Provincial Treasury Post Budget Roadshows aimed at promoting citizenry participation in the provincial budget and to promote government interaction with communities under the theme 'spending your money wisely'.
The MEC will in the morning have the business breakfast meeting where she will engage with the local Business people, which will culminate in a Community event where she will interact with the citizens and small business people. Also as part of the Public Service Week the public will be provided with the information on Supply Chain Management processes. The team of experts from the department will provide the public with information on how to complete tender documents and registration on the provincial supplier database so that the public can benefit from all the business opportunities that government can offer to them.
Ms Cronjé supported by senior Provincial Treasury management will be joined by Mayor, Deputy Mayor, local Councillors and local business people. Members of the media are invited to cover both the business breakfast meeting and community consultation. Media transport and accommodation is available.
