The MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé will on Thursday, 4 February 2010, interact and listen to the views of the business sector and communities of Mpophomeni and the surroundings on what they would like to see in the next year, 2010/11 budget allocations.
This consultation marks the first pre-budget roadshow out of the three that the Provincial Treasury will embark on around the province prior and after the budget day. The aim is to inform the public about the government plans to use allocated budget to alleviate poverty in the province. It is also in line with the provincial government’s initiative to encourage public participation in the provincial budget allocations and to promote transparency as well as encouraging the culture of saving.
Media transport departs from the playhouse, Durban, at 07h00 on Thursday, 4 February 2010.
