KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé is focusing on creating more financially literate provincial population as she will on Tuesday, 27 October 2009 launch a historic course on financial literacy that will focus on two key aspects, namely Personal Financial Literacy and the Entrepreneurial Literacy.
This initiative driven by the Provincial Treasury will kick-start with a two-day (27 and 30 October 2009) pilot programme targeting co-operatives and woman business organisations. Its success may result in this course being rolled out in all municipalities in the province, focusing primarily on rural sites and partly in urban areas. The personal financial literacy module will focus on school learners, whilst entrepreneurial will focus on woman in business organisations, youth organisations and co-operatives.
