KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé, invites journalists to partake during the Provincial Treasury’s launch of the 2012/13 Pre-Budget Roadshow to be held in uMzimkhulu Municipality on Friday (18 November 2011).
The MEC will explain to local residents the list of the Provincial Government’s priorities and also the intricacies of budgeting. Further, she will cajole residents’ views on the priorities and how best the priorities can be budgeted for. While at it, MEC Cronjé will also encourage local people to save their money during the Festive Season and beyond.
This is a province-wide campaign through which the Provincial Government extends its public participation initiative to ensure that the budgeting exercise becomes transparent and owned by the people of KZN. The views and comments received during these campaigns will be considered when the MEC for Finance table the Provincial Budget in March next year.
