MEC Cronjé in a mission to teach pupils about finances

KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé, is devoted to teaching pupils financial management whilst they are young and at school. “Teenagers begin to grasp the true cost of things. This is an excellent time for youngsters to master the crucial skill of money management enhancing their understanding of the principles behind earning money,” she says.

In a spirit to realise this goal, MEC Cronjé, the champion of the KZN Financial Literacy Association, will on Tuesday, 7 June 2011, launch the In-school Financial Literacy initiatives. The launch will be sponsored by PC Training & Business College, at uMlazi Comtech Secondary School in Durban. Concurrent with this historic launch will be the official launch of the 2011 Financial Practitioners Development Trust Grade 11 speech contest on finance.
