MEC Cronjé launches a provincial government employee’s financial education newspaper

KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé will on Friday, 4 November 2011, launch, ‘Know Your Money’ a financial education newspaper for KwaZulu-Natal government employees in a bid to empower government officials with knowledge to be in control of their finances rather than be victims of their destiny.

The ‘Know Your Money’ newspaper was made possible by a successful partnership between various members of the KZN Financial Literacy Association after the Government Employees Focus Group indicated a need for this facility. Some officials seem to manage public money like their own money, transferring their poor personal financial habits in the workplace.
