KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Premier Dr Zweli Mkhize, renowned actress Leleti Khumalo and members of the KZN Cabinet will descend on the Zululand District tomorrow to launch the province’s Operation Sukuma Sakhe.
Operation Sukuma Sakhe Programme (formerly known as the Flagship Programme) seeks to institute food security, fight disease, in particular HIV, AIDS and TB, and poverty, to empower women and youth, and to instil behavioural change amongst the citizens of the province. Members of the community will be given an opportunity to have a dialogue with Dr Mkhize and the mayors under the district on various issues.
