KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mr Willies Mchunu, invites you tomorrow, 16 August 2011, to the first provincial summit on police killings to be held at the Durban International Convention Centre.
This is subsequent to all the police killings that have been happening lately in the Province and this summit seeks ways and remedies to address this situation. In addition to this, the department is successfully rolling out the programme of "Building a United Front Against Crime".
This is an integrated anti-crime strategy which seeks to rally communities behind the crime-fighting cause, using Operation Hlasela as a strategy to be rolled out throughout the Province of KwaZulu-Natal.
