KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance Ina Cronjé instilling a culture of saving in eDumbe

In a bid to inculcate a culture of wise spending and saving as a way of life ahead of the festive season at household level, the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé, in partnership with eDumbe Local Municipality will on Tuesday, 4 September 2012 engage local communities on how to spend their money wisely throughout the year.

The day commences with a ‘Teach a Child to Save’ (TCTS) campaign at Paulpietersburg Primary, where the TCTS team together with MEC Cronjé and a team from Provincial Treasury will give a 67 minutes long lesson to grades 4 to 7. The day will culminate with a community imbizo where citizens will be encouraged to get their spending patterns in order at all times, irrespective of the seasons.

All the members of the media are invited to be part of this enlightening initiative to make a difference in people’s lives. The visits are scheduled as follows:
