The friendly relations between then Czechoslovakia and South Africa have a long tradition. It was in South Africa, where the first diplomatic mission of Czechoslovakia in Sub-Saharan Africa was opened in early twenties of the last century.
The donation of the beds to the Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital is the proof that the friendly relations between the Czech Republic and the Republic of South Africa continue to grow. The KwaZulu-Natal province is of a comparable size in terms of population and area as the Czech Republic.
