The Head of KZN Treasury, Mr Smiso Magagula will on Monday, 19 December 2011 hand over a brand new soup kitchen to Inqiwaneni Junior Primary School at Mtubatuba in Mkhanyakude District.
In a bid to assist the schools with dire needs in the province, the office of the Head of Treasury has initiated a Schools Adoption Programme, whereby the Head of Department’s (HOD) office with the assistance from the provincial Department of Education identifies schools to be assisted by HOD’s office in all the districts of the province.
This initiative marks an early Christmas present for the community and pupils of this school as their school was in a dire need of the soup kitchen for their Nutrition Program and they will be the first school in the province to benefit from this Schools Adoption Program.
