Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Financial Literacy Association (FLA) equipping youth with financial literacy

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange, in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Financial Literacy Association (including Ithala Bank and the Provincial Treasury) will host the National Youth Financial Literacy Day.

It is aimed at drawing young South Africans into the country’s economy by giving them more knowledge about the way it operates, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions and highlight the importance of saving. It will also expose the youth to the investment market, giving them more informed savings and investment options.

Ina Cronje, MEC for Finance in Kwa-Zulu Natal, will be the key note speaker.  Other speakers will include the National Credit Regulator, the Financial Planning Institute, STRATE, The Banking Association of South Africa and Visa Sub-Saharan Africa which will stage a show on financial literacy.
