Reproductive health is an area of the medical field historically impacted by controversy and often misunderstood by the public. The department is glad to invite health reporters, radio announcers and journalists to an Education Workshop which aims to equip journalists with information and understanding of reproductive health issues.
The aim is to assist journalists educate the public, make the case for concerted efforts towards ensuring that we achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) four, five and six and to educate the public that poor reproductive and maternal health outcomes contribute to social inequalities and hinders social and economic development.

- Family planning in HIV positive women: Are women forced into sterilisation without informed consent?
- Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission programmes: Challenges and successes
