The MEC for Health in KwaZulu-Natal, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, who is a government deployee in the district of Amajuba will kick-off the start of the 2011 education programme in Amajuba by congratulating the class of 2010 and bring together various stakeholders to play a role in the development of the district.
“Hope has become very bright for education following the better performance of matriculants in the previous year, especially when as many young poor people made tremendous strides.” The MEC, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, said. The MEC, together with the MEC for Education Mr Senzo Mchunu will host a dinner to congratulate the best performers from the district from the class of 2010.
The event will bring together various stakeholders from the matriculants to parents and local business people to look at education in the context of the overall development of the district.
The MEC will also lead people in cleaning and doing some restorative work in some schools.
