Youth Development Agency and Mara Foundation partner to link local youth entrepreneurs with experienced business leaders

The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and the Mara Foundation have embarked on an exciting new partnership to empower and inspire South Africa’s young talented entrepreneurs.

Mara Mentor is an online community that connects ambitious entrepreneurs with experienced business leaders. The initiative will encourages idea and knowledge sharing among Africa's most talented young entrepreneurs, stimulating a collaborative approach to business start-up and growth. Mara Mentor is an initiative of Mara Foundation, Founded by African entrepreneur Ashish J. Thakkar, Founder and Managing Director of Mara Group.

The National Youth Development Agency is a state entity responsible for youth development in South Africa. It is located in the Presidency of the Republic of South Africa and supports young South Africans with various programmes. This collaboration, will enable young South Africans to be mentored by industry leaders via the new Mara Mentor App. Through this App young entrepreneurs will be able to raise questions, kick-start discussion and build their network among others.

Major local partners include Ernest & Young, ABSA, Microsoft, MTN, Tim Tebeila Foundation and Vodacom.
