The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni, is going to be the guest of honour during the South African Choral Eisteddfod Competition which will take place at the Durban Playhouse from the 30th of May till the 1st of June 2014. The MEC is going to grace this event on Saturday the 31st of May.
This competition started from the Circuit level to District level and all the schools that will be competing at the Durban Playhouse are District Champions. The winners in this competition will proceed to compete at the National competition which will also take place in Durban from the 8th till the 11th of July. The musical categories during this choral competition will also include solo, duets, male voices, female voices as well as small ensembles.
"I would like to wish all the participants all of the best and we want to see them ultimately emerging as National Champions," said MEC Nkonyeni.
