The South African Reserve Bank invites you to the October 2018 Monetary Policy Forum. Members of the media who would like to attend should please RSVP to Leisel Radebe on media@resbank.co.za.

The Monetary Policy Forum is:

• A channel to communicate the Monetary Policy Review that is published bi-annually
• Aimed at broadening the intentions and conduct of monetary policy; and
• Aimed to create a better understanding of monetary policy among its stakeholders, especially the public.

At these meetings, factors that have impacted inflation and the rationale behind the SARB’s monetary policy stance is discussed. Topics such as inflation outlook, economic growth and factors that affect both are discussed and are open for engagement.
