Kwazulu-Natal Premier Willies Mchunu and Finance MEC Belinda Scott to lead cabinet operation Sukuma Sakhe in Umgungundlovu

The Government of KwaZulu-Natal will tomorrow, on Wednesday, take Operation Sukuma Sakhe to uMgungundlovu District. Operation Sukuma Sakhe (OSS) is meant at augmenting government’s service delivery programmes.

Led by Premier Willies Mchunu and District Political Champion, Finance MEC Belinda Scott Provincial Executive will lead Cabinet, mayors and government officials in visiting various communities of Msunduzi Municipality, under uMgungundlovu District Municipality as part of Operation Sukuma Sakhe programme.

This programme which is held under the Sukuma Sakhe theme aims at inspecting, monitoring, launching service delivery programmes and engaging communities regarding challenges that confront them in their respective Ward-based War Rooms and which require Government’s urgent intervention in Msunduzi Municipality.

MEC Scott has been deployed in Ward 33 and Ward 35, in KwaJika Joe and Sobantu respectively. MEC Scott has been active in her district holding Youth Summit and a District Prayer as well as intervening in the KwaJika Joe challenges.

Wednesday operation will commence with a massive clean-up campaign and removal of litter where there have been illegal dumping in the wards that will be visited by all the MECs in Msunduzi.
