The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) in partnership with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) will on Thursday, 24 January 2019, host Voter Registration and Education Campaign (VREC) drive at Thembalethu, George in the Western Cape Province.
Executive Chairperson of the NYDA, Mr Sifiso Mtsweni will lead activities aimed at ensuring that young people take full advantage of the upcoming final voter registration weekend on 26 and 27 January 2019.
Details of the event are as follows:
Session One:
06h00 – 07h30 Blitz at Thembalethu intersection.
10h00- 11h00 - Voter Contact at George Taxi Rank (CBD).
12h00 - Executive Chairperson Meets School Principals at IMizamo Yethu Secondary School.
Session Two:
12h00- 14h00 Voter Registration and Education Workshop with IEC at Thembalethu Community Hall.
14h30 Executive Chairperson adresses National Youth Service Programme (NYSP) Solomon Kalushi Mahlangu VREC Volunteers at Thembalethu Community Hall.
