Minister Molewa to plant trees during Mandela Month in Sunway Informal Settlement, Hartebeespoort
The Minister of Environmental Affairs, Mrs Edna Molewa will lead a greening campaign on Saturday, 25 July 2015 in commemoration of Nelson Mandela Month at the Sunway informal settlement at Hartebeespoort in the North West Province.
Minister Molewa will be joined by DEA officials, the South African National Parks (SANParks) and the Madibeng Local Municipality to raise awareness on issues around greening.
The Government has called on all South Africans to support Nelson Mandela Month through participation in activities under the theme: “Take Action - Inspire Change - Make Every Day a Mandela Day”.
To keep the country green, South African National Parks (SANParks) will provide 50 tress to be planted for 50 households. Minister Molewa will also visit some of the families.
