The Minister of Environmental Affairs, Dr Edna Molewa, will on Saturday, 25 November 2017, address the Catholic Archdiocese of Johannesburg’s Peace and Justice 2017 annual general meeting at the Catholic Cathedral of Christ the King.
The address is directed at motivating the Church to play a greater role in caring for the environment in their communities.
This year’s theme is “Building Bridges of Hope in Partnerships- Caring for our Common Home”. As one of three projects adopted by members Justice and Peace, the environment project focuses on illegal dumping, water, air quality, energy efficiency and the mine dumps in and around Johannesburg.
