KZN Finance MEC, Ravi Pillay, to table the 2020/2021 KwaZulu-Natal budget on Friday
The MEC for Finance in KwaZulu-Natal will, on Friday, table the KZN budget for the 2020/2021 financial year. MEC Ravi Pillay has described the 2020/2021 budget as an expression of the KZN government’s commitment to fiscal prudence; building a capable, ethical and developmental state; and accelerated service delivery
The budget will be tabled as follows:

Venue: Royal Showgrounds (Olympia Hall), Pietermaritzburg
Media is invited be part of two media briefings to be held on the day. The first one is a technical media briefing which will be held at 8.30 am ahead of MEC Pillay tabling the budget.
During the technical briefing, the HOD and senior officials from KZN Treasury will unpack the finer/technical details of the budget to the media.
After presenting the budget, MEC Pillay will address a media briefing thus providing journalists with an opportunity to engage him on various aspects of the budget. The venue for both briefings is the Presidential Suite at the Showgrounds.
