KZN Finance MEC, Ravi Pillay, to handover multi-million rand equipment to the Umgungundlovu District Municipality during Operation Khawuleza launch.
KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance Mr Ravi Pillay will tomorrow, Thursday the 21st of November 2019, launch Operation Khawuleza in uMgungundlovu District.
Operation Khawuleza is a government-led programme of accelerating service delivery in all communities. MEC Pillay, in his capacity as the champion MEC for uMgungundlovu District, will handover yellow plant equipment to the district municipality during the event.
The multi-million rand equipment will be used by the local municipalities under the uMgungundlovu district. The yellow plant equipment will enable municipalities in the district to respond quicker to service delivery challenges such as those related to waste removal, sanitation and public infrastructure such as roads.
