MEC to monitor schools at Ulundi
The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Ms Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni, is going to monitor school’s functionality in four schools in the Zululand District starting from the 15th till the 16th of January 2014.
On the 15th, the MEC is going to monitor Mathole High School, Ntababomvu High School and Madaka Primary School in Emahlabathini. On the 16th the MEC is going to monitor school functionality at Masibumbane High School. The meeting venue for the MEC’s visit will be Old Service Centre, District Offices, 2nd floor Ulundi at 7h00.
"The aim of these functionality monitoring programmes is to ensure that learning and teaching starts on the first hour, first minute and first second of the schools’ opening. Gone are the days when teaching and learning will start days after the first day of the academic year," said MEC Nkonyeni.
