MEC Ntombikayise Sibhidla-Saphetha hosts breakfast with football legends, 10 Nov

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation, Ntombikayise Sibhidla-Saphetha will engage football legends on their role in driving the development of football in the Province.

The MEC has invited representatives of legends from the different districts in the Province for a breakfast session tomorrow, Tuesday 10/11, that will seek to formalise the central role of the former soccer stars in identification and nurturing of talent.

The meeting follows hot on the heels of the Department of Sport and Recreation in conjunction with the South African Football Association (SAFA) hosting a successful Football Indaba, which forms part of the attempts to develop a structured approach to football development in the province.

MEC Sibhidla-Saphetha said that her goal with these initiatives was to see football in the province return to its former glory, producing the bulk of quality players and having strong teams competing at the highest level.
