On Wednesday, 2 April 2014, the MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Ms Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni, is going to be a Key-Note Speaker during the 20 Years of Education Celebration at Thubalethu Primary School in Melmoth (Uthungulu District).
The celebration marks 20 years of excellence in teaching and learning at the school. On Thursday, 3 April 2014, the MEC is going to officially open Khulani Special School in Hluhluwe (uMkhanyakude District), which has cost the Department more than R55 million. The scope of the project includes 15 classrooms ,1 computer lab ,1 media centre, 3 multipurpose rooms,1 workshop, 1 therapy suite ,activity room, administration block, 1 Principal's office, Deputy Principal’s Office, 1 consulting room and many other amenities.
