The MEC for Health in KwaZulu-Natal, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo will present the 2013/14 budget for his department in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature on 12 June 2013 at 14h30.
Prior to the budget presentation; the members of the media will be briefed by the MEC for Health, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo and the Head of the Department, Dr Sibongile Zungu on the following matters:
1. Latest on Infrastructure Development; including an update on the long awaited Pixley ka Isaka Seme Hospital in the INK area.
2. Latest on the state of preparedness in relation to the three National Health Insurance (NHI) pilot sites i.e. Umgungundlovu, Umzinyathi and Amajuba.
3. Update on state aided hospitals.
4. Remarkable successes on the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT).
5. Update on HIV and AIDS/TB Services.
6. Successes and new targets on Medical Male Circumcision.
