In the true spirit of having everyday a Mandela day, the MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Senzo Mchunu, will on Thursday 25 July 2013 continue with his more than 67 minutes for Mandela. At 08h00 in the morning, the MEC will handover farming implements to the Mpaphala Community Trust Farm. The farm is located 30km away from Eshowe CBD. Through Operation Vuselela, the MEC will be handing over two tractors, two trailers, a van, and many other farming implements.
Mpaphala Community Trust Farm is a Land Restitution project which lodged a claim in terms of the Restitution of Land Rights Act, 22 of 1994 for 802, 6334 hectares of land. Their land claim was settled in 2006 with restoration of 802, 6334 hectares to the Community Trust.
At 10h30 the MEC will be at Mpande High School where he is going to spend his 67 minutes cleaning the school. At 13h00, he will be at King Zwelithini High School for the main event and speeches for the day.
