KZN Executive Council Lekgotla to focus on job creation and speed in service delivery

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Senzo Mchunu and members of the executive council will converge at the Public Service Academy in Durban for Lekgotla starting from 20 to 21 August 2014. Mchunu has reiterated that the work of the provincial government will be characterised by job creation and ensuring speed in service delivery.

“The purpose of this Lekgotla is to set the basis for a Medium Term Strategic Framework (MTSF), Provincial Programme of Action and Top Order Priorities for the 2014 to 2019 Term of Office. We will outline the targets to be achieved in the fulfilment of the priorities of the current Term of Office based on policy pronouncements made in the inauguration speech, resolutions of the executive council orientation retreat, and the State of the Province Address.”

“We will also ensure the adoption of the 2014 to 2019 Medium Term Strategic Framework based on the National Development Plan as well as the Provincial Growth and Development Plan (PGDP). We will receive presentations from clusters on Plans of Action to implement the PGDP with clear recognition of the Top Order priorities. We will further receive presentations on financial and macro-economic issues as well as the state of Local Government in the province.”
